 The Quick Reader
The quick reader is a simple word processor that allows you to quickly type or paste some text and have it read back to you.

 Flexible
The kReader PC is built using a flexible technology that allows features to be installed as separate add-ins. This means the software can be configured for different user's needs. For instance, the Houghton-Mifflin Student Dictionary can be replaced by the Houghton-Mifflin Collegiate Dictionary when used by adults. This can be done by simply replacing the add-in.

 Translate!
kReader PC allows you to translate from one language into the other if you have an internet connection. This combined with the several dictionaries makes it a very supportive tool when learning a language.

 Voice painting
The kReader PC’s reading engine can utilize multiple Text To Speech (TTS) voices while it reads.
Many documents / stories contain more than one character and the kReader PC allows you to give a voice to each character during the reading playback. This technology is particularly useful for scripts and plays.

It is easy to do: you select text in the kReader PC screen and associate a character (voice) with the selection.

Choose your voice screen.

 Creating Content
The bane of previous assistive reading technologies has always been how difficult it is to create content for students. Often, previous generations of technology were too difficult to be practical for everyday use in the general classroom setting. With kReader PC it is easy to create content using your existing content and to create new content!
